Thanks for all the information I was born in Montreal, Quebec and have a lot of family there that speak only french as well as living in a border city between Canada and the USA and being bilingual is required for the majority of the government jobs here

Avoid Babbel its rubbish! Pimsleur ok to listen to in background eg when driving but get really boring due to repetitionsthese are all out of date though! I think the future is to go with AI apps on mobiles

Please tell me the best way of learning French up to a fluent conversational level in 7 months as I will be going to start with my bachelors in Brussels this coming September and I need to be fluent in French before that in order to do part time jobs there which will be essential to my survival there and therefore I request you to kindly guide me to the best web possible to become fluent in French within 7 months within a modest budget

Thank you! I started learning French in the early days of the pandemic to help keep my mind occupied and my anxiety low, and I'm hoping to put all my hard work to practical use during trips to Quebec City and France I've been enjoying my lessons with Duolingo, but they've just changed their UI to one that's no longer fun, actually demotivating I will likely cancel Duolingo, so your recommendations have given me a great overview of my choices Thank you!

I think (and I may be wrong) that Babble helps you learn fundamentals and Rocket/Pimsleur are more to help polish what you already know?

I would love to learn French to get more involved with the language of extended family I have family from both France and Canada and learning French would not only allow me to learn their main language and be able to better communicate with them, but I would also love to learn a new language when visiting French countries as well as learn one of the native languages of Canada
