As soon as he said Asheville NC I knew he didn’t no what tf he was talking about… It’s $15,00 for a 1 bedroom apartment in Asheville Hell traffic is so bad it takes u at least 20 minutes to get anywhere I most definitely would not recommend Asheville Comment from : Drew Pai |

Show these places in the height of winter…Or the humidity index in the height of summer Comment from : Pete Martinez |
I think it would be interesting to do lists doing several factors 1) income - single and $60-75,000 2) income for childless couple- $60-90,000 3) income for married couple with 2 to4 kids under age 18, $80-125,000 It is easy to rank cities and you have no real limitations on income; allowing you to choose cities of $500 or $600 thousand homes But the groups I identified might not be able to afford those cities Also, use 100,000 as basis of city population Don't factor suburbs Comment from : Richard Price |
I nominate Williamsburg, VA Historic and cultural area with good college (Wm and Mary) in midst of two urban areas- Richmond to the West (50 miles) and Norfolk/Va Beach/Chesapeake/Newport News/Hampton Weather is warm in summer and mild in winter Good restaurants and shopping Comment from : Richard Price |
I used to live in stratford connecticit is a diversified town I was hoping that that would be on your list Comment from : Rodney Warren |

3 important problems have evolved recently for Portland, ME since this video was released: crime, homelessness, housing Very suddenly, from 2022-2023, Portland saw a sudden and dramatic increase in violent and property crime, promoting the police chief to request state assistance Though homicides for 2022 were only 3, shootings and stabbings saw a significant uptick Homelessness has been a major issue in recent years as well, with shelters overwhelmed and city and state support infrastructure incapable of coping given their relatively small budgets And a top contributer to the above issues is likely a housing crisis I hand waved the idea of it away when I moved up here last year, but it's actually a legitimate crisis now Rent for 1BR's and studios--if you can even find one--are $1750-2000 dollars per month in and around the city (not the $1100 figure cited in this video, lmao) and houses themselves are probably closer to 400-500k at this point All of this would be a meh thing in other cities, but wages are low up here and the state has the highest poverty rate and lowest median income of any in New England As someone working in hospitals here, I can attest personally to the intensity of both the homelessness problem as well as the worsening opioid issue It's a great city still but unless you already have money good luck Also side note: the pay for nurses is shit up here stay away unless you're a travelerbrbrThe resteraunts are nice tho Comment from : KaMiKaZe JoE |
Not sure about Colorado Springs, it is notoriously high in crime these days That may be some outdated info Comment from : Lauren Rain |
I’m glad that you were honest enough to say that Huntsville is for Tech ppl , ppl raising a family and retirees it’s not for the in between innovative, upcoming college grad Comment from : Living In Your Truth&Purpose |
I've lived in California for all my life and now that I'm 23 and in a committed relationship, I've started getting curious about actually finding my home When you said $300k for a home I was like "wow that's cheap" compared to average home prices of well over a million I've got about $70k in the bank so I could put a down payment on a home in one of those places Comment from : Greatest Assassin |
I got my first apartment 18 years ago for less than $400/mobrHow tf do people buy $1M homes? Comment from : Richard Westphal |

I'll give you Portland There at least used to be a few good bookstores there and a lot of nice restaurants, but all things considered, its major attraction lies in its being two hours down I-95 to Boston Virtually every other "city" on this list is in a deep-red state that sends crazy people to DC and the the state house, and most are so small they can barely be called cities Great places for those who don't read books, spend lots of time in church and largely lack social consciences Ugh! Thanks for supplying the correct pronunciation of "Boise," though I never knew that Comment from : Donald Fedosiuk |

I have lived in all major regions of the United States as an adult Factoring in taxes, schools, level of education, pollution, litter, humidity, insects, crowds, traffic, fiscal responsibility, income disparity, racism, governmental corruption, jobs, urban blight, cost of living, crime, recreation, healthcare, and political extremism (right and left), here are my rules: Avoid entirely the East Coast, the West Coast, Hawaii, Alaska, and anything east of the Mississippi River or on the west bank of the Mississippi River You can't go wrong in the rest of the states Comment from : Susan Sorensen |

My advice is stay as far away from cities as humanly possible Yeah it’s an 80 mile round trip to town for us And people travel from all over to see where we live Sequoia National Park borders our property Which makes our backyard about 3200 square miles (Inside the boundaries of Sequoia/Kings Canyon/Sequoia National Forest/Monument Outside the boundaries it’s WAY bigger Comment from : Bob Powell |
Hopefully this comment will not come across as critical because it isn't intended that way It is just a tidbit I find interesting about Lancaster PAbr I don't know about all the locals, but the Amish (A very large presence there,) do not pronounce it as you did and as it is spelled It is more like br"Lanc ster" As I said, just an interesting tidbit Comment from : Wilson Altice |

The one place you named that I know very well is Asheville, NC They have INSANE traffic problems with commute time up to an hour if you have to use any of the freeways Home prices are off too because we couldn't find anything decent anywhere south of $400K Empty lots where going for 200K I think your data is very old Comment from : Cbonz77 |

Most people who work in HSV live in Madison, where real estate costs are at least x15 more Nobody immigrate to HSV proper average time of commute - 30 minutes in gridlock because the SW corner of HSV is Redstone Arsenal, a secure area you can't drive through Comment from : Andy Wells |
