Agreed totally with everything you mentioned here Ref, but this is something that a lot of players in various sports do not take the time to look into and weigh up before committing to entering any tournamentsbrbrOne of the things I learned from playing pool tournaments is, each tournament has to be looked at and weighed up as a business decisionbrbrIf the potential payout rewards are much higher than the costs to be there and compete, it's an assetbrbrIf the costs outweigh the potential financial return, it's a liability and nobody can afford to be successful if they keep spending money on liabilities and not the assetsbrbrGranted, there is never any guarantees for any athlete, regardless of which sport they play competitively, but it's just basic common sense to not spend the money and time on something that doesn't have or offer the rewards and return that should be therebrbrIt's no wonder why the BDO has been dying a slow death since the split in 1993 Comment from : William Dines
