These kinds of fakes have been a big deal with collectible cards too, although not so much in the PSA/Beckett graded holders yet One of the keys to know a fake old card though is that even the best copies of now expensive cards from the 90s can't really get the paper right, as in the real aged card paper has a very distinctive feel that's almost impossible to replicate unless you somehow find vintage card stock of the exact same type Coins of course are a different story, and we very well might come to a day when the fakes get to good to tell : /

So on this example, concern is raised when you couldnt zoom into the photos & I guess the site itself, but a red flag raised when they were finally honest in the description sayin they had a factory? Very scary, even more scary if they weren't honest in the description

This stuff terrifies me Bottom line because I would put time into this Is there any legal or legislative approach that could be taken to help stop or slow this type of thing Im sure iys already illegal to make these in the US without COPY How bout selling or even possessing past a certain number These are DANGEROUS!!!! This is why collecting can be a pain I personally don't buy a coin unless it's graded You can't fake a web site Also if I buy a raw coin I submit it with a 1 week turnaround Due diligence is a must

Hi Daniel I would like to know if you have heard anything regarding Mr Wexler who does the coin attributions, I sent some coins off to him and I got one message back saying that he was very sick but that was a few months back Just checking to see if he is alright and of course I am concerned about my coins but more concerned about his health

When it comes to graded coins, I personally normally just get raw coins and have them graded myself unless it is something specific I might be looking for that would be easier to buy an example already graded However, one thing I would definitely question is buying any coin that is coming from China It is a well-known fact that a lot of 'counterfeit' goods come out of there Another great video, by the way, it is great that you are getting this information out there for people who may not be aware of these things Thank you

I just got another phone call from a scammer coin dealer on Long Island They were trying to sell me BU Peace dollars for $980/roll when I can buy them from StacksBowers for $430 The guy insisted the price of these coins will double within 3 years Do not buy any coins from a coin dealer on Long Island with 631 area code They are scammers

Very true, check cert AND know your coins (OR DON'T BE BUYING!) and never buy anything from China- their culture is based on fraud and win by any means - after doing business with Chinese companies over many years I have learned this fact- they actually take pride in defrauding you if you buy their pitch it is dispicable and foreign to most Westerners BTW - where do you find these obscure sites?

They have 100 because most people are buying a ton to sell locally or on eBay They don’t want to kill their supplier That’s why I always lookup the cert # on these sites first for at least one check

I had a friend who bought an MS 1877 Indian Head on fleaBay cheap I looked at the reverse and saw that the N in ONE was strong, and this wasn't a proof (I don't remember if they had the weak Ns or not), so I could tell it was a fake This was several years ago, so it wasn't slabbed, and I don't know if the fake slabs were starting to appear yet

You are absolutely correct dude last week I found a seller on ebay that was making mint sets but I noticed that the packaging was not what the US mints sent them out in I haven't looked for error coins I just enjoy collecting world coins have a great day ahead and many more to come and thank you for the excellent video!
