All things being equal, students have the opportunity to study under more advanced environments and equipments Lack of study aids and practical experiences makes home studying at home challenging but which are not so overseas During my training, we were frequently told " ideally it supposed to be done this way but because of lack of equipments, let's do it this way" hence u get used to the wrong things while learning

In recent years, more number of university students prefer to go abroad for their studies Although students gain international experience while studying abroad, it is expensive and thus capital intensive brIn my opinion, though it cost a fortune to study abroad, students gain significant experience that will be beneficial in life and their individual careers brStudents get the opportunity to gain advanced knowledge which are not available in their home countries They get the opportunity to use advanced facility which facilitates their studies, interact with other international students and learn about other cultures which increase their ability to adapt especially as they progress in life and find themselves in situations where they have to work or continue studying in foreign countries For example, as a PhD student in Europe, my experience studying in Europe for my masters made me adapt easily in my new research group I could easily adjust to colleagues whose first languages were different from mine I could also adapt to being in a multidisciplinary group thanks to my previous masters experience Therefore though it cost a lot to study abroad, it is more beneficial to gain foreign experience in order to fit into complex groups and grow as a person brThe major disadvantage of being cost intensive can discourage students from humble background from aspiring for this international experience For instance, I had to forfeit my first opportunity to study in the USA due to my inability to raise the tuition and travel costs at the time But when I got the second opportunity, I had to reach out to family member to lend me some money in order to cover the travel and preliminary living cost Although my second opportunity was a scholarship I still needed to raise some money to travel over and resume my studies before I could access my stipend and travel allowances I had to leave on meagre amount of money in my first month of resumption to be able to pay back what I had loaned brTherefore, the increasing trend of going abroad for higher education can be justified because the benefits of studying in an international environment outweighs it’s financial strain on students Ultimately, it is the capital invested in studying abroad that makes students take the opportunity more seriously and thus gain more from the experience
