Out of all the Decepticons to mercilessly kill, Shockwave is one of the few I think it would make sense for Optimus Prime to kill, cause in many of his iterations he is fanatically loyal to Megatron, and is known for being extremely cruel

Such a badass and I get it when people say 'but Optimus is nice he wouldn't kill Megatron or Sentinel like that' Perhaps not if he hadn't had enough If Sentinel hadn't killed Ironhide and killed many people at Nest HQ If he hadn't collaborated with Megatron to plan to wipe out an entire race so their own world could be saved Optimus understood what had to be done and that by holding back more would die than the massive amount of people that had already died at the hands of the Decepticons He knew neither Sentinel nor Megatron would give up Even though Megatron wanted a truce in order to deal with Sentinel I doubt he would abandon his plans to rule I fully suspect had Optimus accepted that truce, Megs would've still stabbed him in the back the second Sentinel was dead when he knew he'd be weakened from the fight
