You should have plenty of power now Especially since you were used to using almost none, you'll have more power than you need Probably will start using more power as you get more confidence in your system Comment from : Shsharrell |

I always wanted to get some avalanche diodes a special plate and put it up to 10 to 12 meters The plate would be copper or aluminum with a graphene coating or paint that is water resistant Suspended from air the idea is use a ground to the antenna to have a circuit to make power by high voltage conversion to current using avalanche diode circuit for more usable power based on something like Tesla did Will it work, I don't know Comment from : travis moore |
Can't afford it Comment from : John Bloch |

This is interesting to me, as the house Im in has solar panels on the roof and they where hooked up at one point But the lady who owned the home passed away, and the now owner [ her son] deemed it best to have them shut the panels off He did this because there was a $335 a month bill from rhe solar company and it didnt seem to be making the electric bill much if any smaller each month At least not in the summer We live in Arizona the electric bill here gets pretty high with the outside temp being 110 degrees or more Im wondering if we can put the pannels to use Te company said they will not take them off the house so I say lets use them Thanks for the idea and info that worked for you, We will have to see what we can do Great video Comment from : Jeff Polsene |

This is good info, but a system that runs soo little for soo much money, is way out of my reachbrI've seen guys build their own for much less, but looks like a magical mystery to build :(brbrI really do need to get my head around this stuffbrWhen the power goes out, I'm going to lose a lot of food Comment from : Tony Matthews |
I'd love to hook up my panels to a generator Would love to get off grid Comment from : A Long |
What do you do to heat water? Everyone denies it, but every successful solar system has excess power that is just wasted I can run just two wires to your combiner box and automatically divert any excess to a standard water heater, no modifications necessary Uses no battery, controller or inverter capacity It just sits there waiting to put that power to work I have a small system with 12 panels, but they are under trees and 60 are shaded at any time I still have enough power to run refrigeration, domestic hot water, and clothes washer I even have a 40 gallon tank just for the washer All cycles use hot water and the clothes come out steaming Solar doesn't have to be expensive I put technology to work Comment from : opera |
Thanks for sharing your off grid solar We are off grid 14 years and love it Comment from : Richard D Rempel |
Isn’t there a way to charge the batteries from the inverter so we don’t need a generator? Comment from : TalentNetworked |

Is there a type of "combiner box" available that can primarily utilize power from solar panels (when sunlight is available) and supplement its output with grid power (as a secondary source) only when the solar current is insufficient to meet the required output? Comment from : Jean Baro |

I’m down here in Arizona and I own 20 acres and live on one only but definitely I want to start creating and building and this solar panel system might work perfectly down here, and thank you much for such a helpful and understandable video , and I will definitely buy the chocolate tea from you guys!! Cheers 🤙 Comment from : Rick the roster |
So two questons: 1 Are the panels show from the first system that you said didn't ever work? 2 Did I hear you say that with the second system they helped you hook up the solar panels because they were not hooked up correctly?? If that's the case, was that the reason the first system did not work?? Comment from : errndog |
This is the only part that i couldnt figure out and what parts id need to make this work thank you Comment from : mandavaler |
Saw an interesting off grid cabin recently It had a system that came from a wrecked camper 4 roof top panels, a controller from the camper, new batteries Also 3 harbor freight inverters They had a generator for the system as well Every thing in the place worked just fine They had a refrigerator from a wrecked camper running off the batteries or propane They had a gas oven and clothes dryer They said that they rarely had to turn the generator on They heated mostly with wood, but also had a "warm morning" brand propane fired wall unit It was used and I think quite old That house was no different than an on grid home Comment from : Joseph Loughrey |

$6 to $8000! Is not what I consider "Cheap" way too Expensive You can build these systems for 1/3 of that & have a wind generator to produce all the power you need & run your dump load into your hot water heater! Comment from : Miguel Salami |

Hey Doug, brbrGreat video So is this a combination of the old panels from the first company and a new system from the new company?brbrWould a couple more batteries saved you from having to use the generator, or do you need more panels for that too?brbrThanks! Comment from : superdave2112 |
Okay here's your downfall on solar panels they only last a couple years because they are running off a battery so therefore they go bad so u have to get new ones Comment from : Dustin |

Keep spares of lightbulbs and things you don't know if what you've been sent will work Sky's favourite excuse seems to be send out faulty equipment charge for not having the WiFi and send engineers who don't know how to deal with you Comment from : Charlotteb |
