Propane is fine, but the hottest part of a propane flame, is after the tip, and slightly past the flame itself I use to work in the welding gas industry, and we had to teach many scrapers how to use propane to cut They treated propane like acetylene and never liked propane That's a huge mistake Comment from : KM4OOS |

you won't be able to get the copper out of the silver without acid and the melting point of copper is higher than silver Comment from : Leto Idaho |
|
The melting temp of silver is close to 2,8 00°F, lead is 2386°F, Silicon is slightly above 1,400°F, i can remember copper, gold, & platinum, but i know that copper is around 447°F, gold 2,900F, platinum above 3,100°F It's been years so i don't remember exact figures, otherwise i would share with you the melting point of those dimes Blue flames are the hottest but the hottest part of every flame is; the tip of the inner cone because it is oxidized to its maxim, & all the heat is directed inward by a turbulence caused by the difference of temperature So like a magnifying glass, heat becomes focused in the tip of the inner cone of the flame Acetylene burns extremely hot, butane does also but not to that temperature, propanes peak burn temp is close to 2,400° F Propane is also the common choise of gas because it doesn't ignite easily You can suffocate a lit cigarette in a propane atmosphere I just thought I'd share a little knowledge - GOD BLESS YOU! Comment from : Bitchy_ Bitch! |
