I am a student there now, the school is super different from a traditional university (which I have attended in the past) but given that it is an online only program, it needs to be different The requirements for acquiring passing grades in classes are good, there is interaction with your teachers and other students via old school forum style posts, and the courses are generally fairly writing intensive In my opinion, after doing some research, the best program to go through is the health science associates or bachelors, mainly because the job market is much better for that degree right now I would like to see the university become regionally accredited soon, that is my only complaint, but I hope that wont make the prices go up Comment from : donesixfour

FYI, the Western Association of Schools and Colleges(WASC), a regionally accrediting body will be visiting The University of the People from 11/30/2022 thru 12/5/2022 I'm thinking a decision should come shortly thereafter But for those that are wondering about employers accepting the degree, local, state, and the federal government accepts the degree The University of the People is listed by the Department of Education as an accreditated University The Accreditation Reform Act of 2020 changed the game, all Universities must be approved for accreditation by the DOE, and the department does not make a distinction between Regional vs National If your school is listed in their database, you are good to go!!
