To improve my vocabulary I ensure that I read atleast 90 mins a day on my favorite content I am a cricket buff and I always focus more on the English commentary to pick new words in different contexts of the game While watching the game I try myself commentating the way they dobrbrIn Cricket Commentary I do follow certain commentators diligently on the range of words they use in different contexts In the process, I learn new words and also not finding the game boringbrbrI got a wide range of books on my shelf in different genres but I read them in line with my mood throughout the day to make sure that I won't get tired of reading them

i am 35 years old and I have been playing online computer games for more than 20 years I intentionally play on English-speaking servers and never change the interface and menu to my native language I have also played always in English-speaking clans and tried to talk to people as much as I can In that way, you HAVE TO learn the language to play the game and progress In this kind of game, there are quest texts, most of these texts consist of the story of a quest, for example, "The boars attacked into our town and destroyed the apothecary building and stolen some goods bla bla bla" and at the end, there is written the main objective like "Kill 10 boars" I am sure nobody reads the quest stories, they just read the bold-written objective part I wanted to understand why do we kill these boars? I was checking every single word that I did not know in the dictionary and trying to understand I think it is kind of reading a book by the way when you do that 30-40 times daily :) Many of my friends have played the same games but none of them improved their English skills as much as me I think the key part is that sense of wonder and eagerness to learn Read a book, play a game, watch a movie, listen to a song whatever you do, you need to get exposed to the target language and have that eagerness to learn
