I don’t understand why everyone keeps their company a secret Like no one tells you what company they work for And I’ll be looking on indeed and not knowing what companies to look for or specifically like what’s an insurance company and what isn’t So it’s not very helpful when everyone makes these videos and all they say is oh my job is wonderful Not helpful at all

I've done bedside for 13 years until I had a baby I have my RN BSN Currently, I'm doing telephone triage from home It's call after call after call I'm looking for something where I can work from home but without the constant calls What kind of training and experience do I need for a utilization RN, and are there courses I can do at home? I’m an LVN Worked in a busy Family Practice Clinic I took a 14 year hiatus to raise my daughter with learning differences, and care for my mother who suffers dementia Now that my daughter is close to graduating high school, I am so wanting to work again Before nursing, and motherhood, I was a Sergeant Investigator for the Sheriffs Department During my hiatus I’ve helped my husband start and run 2 successful businesses What you described sounds like an awesome job What I’m wondering is, if they are going to frown upon the amount of time I’ve been away (I’ve kept my license current the entire time) or are they going to consider all of my skills, knowledge, and experience, not just in nursing, but across the board

I am an RN and I wanted to get into UR or HEDIS, almost any insurance job and they want previous experience I wanted to change from Informatics after 15 years and was pretty much denied an interview wherever I applied How did you manage this without experience? I am now working home health and that is new for me, but I know I don't want to do it for long because I am in my 50s I do want to find my way into insurance eventually

I worked a salaried LPN UR job for a big work comp company and we worked tons of free overtime, and had to use benefit time when we took off for the doctors appointments, etc I would say look closely at the company and the office itself The company had high ratings but Dept of labor was called in more than once for working conditions All glass building and AC going out and they don’t close the office At 90 degrees inside the office it wasn’t good I would be interested in working from home though where I would have at least some control over the environment

Have you ever worked bedside? I’m 2 month into my LPN career and I’m not really feeling the LTC setting I’m waiting to get a start date as a school nurse ( they offered me the job already) to see if I like that I like the school nurse idea because I’m a mom and I can have the days off that my kids have off But I would love to work from home as a LPN and not have to talk to anyone 😂 (introvert here)

I’m switching to home care, I did RN did Concurrent/Admit UR for a year for hospital, absolutely horrible 45 +reviews a day, lots of blame if we get denials even though doctors don’t follow recommendations to put in proper level of care I worked salary, hybrid home a few days a week and in the office The money was ok at first but you are expected to do all inpatients so work 9-11 hours a day in computer, not including my commute I easily put 50-60 hours a week, very corporate, bottom line focused, no respect, no lunch breaks, no 15 minute breaks This was a bad, job, I worked weekends for the hospital, holidays, it was not awesome There were few perks other than away from bedside I worked on the payee side (the hospital) I was emotionally drained because we were treated terrible
