I loved Hunchback 2 as a kid but really I think it was because I had a crush on the girl I mean come on, ladies She's a keeper Also that love song is still fire idec "I'm gonna love you, for the rest of my life" I haven't seen it since I was like 5 and I don't think I was allowed to watch the original because of the heaviness of its themes But now I LOVE the original and am a little afraid to revisit the sequel

I loved lady and the tramp 2, and brother bear 2, and a lot of these movies idk why I just preferred a lot of the direct to dvd sequels as a kid and now they hold so much more nostalgia to me than the originals that I just can't hate them despite their flaws

We didn't grow up with much money to begin with so my parents couldn't afford to by the original movies so instead they would by the "off brand" movies of things or the sequels brbrTook me a long time until I realised there was a better version of the Little Mermaid and Christmas version of Beauty and the Beast hahaha

I am overjoyed to find another Lion King 1 1/2 fan Its the kind of movie that actually enhances the original for me I wiuld go so far as to say I like it more, actually Like, once in my childhood I won the sibling 'pick a movie' debate and chose Lion King only to be confused and disappointed when all my favourite scenes werent in it I had a crisis thinking I had somehow fabricated all of the best Timon and Pumbaa moments and Dig a Tunnel song brbrI am not exaggerating on how much I and my family love this movie I watch the Lion King just so we can watch Lion King 1 1/2 my siblings will recommend 1/2 to anyone who says they like the original My mom hates the Lion King, but loves LK 1 1/2

Personaly Cinderella 3 for me is incredible like legit the only thing I disliked was the fact that they sort of disregarded the baker boy in thr second film wich isn't that big of a deal Also I only just relised it was because of the time travel never mind I don't have any critism Though a big reason I love this sequal is because I really love Esmarelda's arc in this film also a big reason I love this film is similar to why I love the first film is because I love how it shows the struggle that Cinderella goes through to get her happly ever after also she is soo cool in this film I swear I am glad this film didn't come out now because dumb asses would call her a "girl boss" Anyway I also love the comedy in this the animation in this is soo goofy and it perfectly fits the more comedic tone Also was the first time I liked the mice or the prince and the king like his scene were he shows Anastasia his wife (assuming she is dead) and it was a really sweet scene And I just like the fact that the only ones that make fun of Anastasia is the villains and honestly Lady Tramane is probably even more intimidateing in this sequal than the original Also the Prince jumping out the window is hilarious ever time Also I don't even mind that there isn't that many locations because all the characters in the kindom are entertaining even the side character like this random servant and the king's assistant guy Also I love the introductory scene of the king of the prince and his dad is soo good it helps make a basic exposition dump interesting by making a sword fight also their personality is perfectly established and honestly subt things in the animation and storyboarding like this is amazing it's clear with smalll details in the facial expressions and stageing that showed the animators wenr above and byond I swear I could gush about this film for ages but in conclusion it's one of my personal favourite sequals I recomend it a lot

With the Atlantis sequel, I remember thinking it was lazy In the first movie they showed the battles, they showed the hardship and struggle and they showed the aftermath of the group trying to put everything back together In the sequel, it was “oh no guys! We’re being attacked!” Fade to black “ man I’m sure glad we won that fight that was scary” There was no risk or reason to worry about the characters when you knew the screen would just fade to black and everything would be fine

I am one of the people who swears by The lion king 2, the song "my lullaby" that Zira sings is so fucking amazing, I love it and "not one of us" as you said is a banger I think it's because of nostalgia lol, I'm not gonna shit on you for not thinking its good, but just wanted to vouch for 'My Lullaby' and the emo lion cause the characters were really entertaining and great, I love it <3

I was cheering for HoND2 to be at the bottom of the pile I rewrote the sequel recently to make some MUCH needed changes:brbr-The bell does not have jewels, and it's not being targeted for those jewels It's a newly engineered design and it's being dedicated to the popebr-There's no stupid Valentine-esque holiday pulled out of the writers' butts The context is the pope is coming to Parisbr-Zephyr actually looks part Romanibr-Zephyr has a personality He loves parties, actively imagines the gargoyles are alive alongside Quasi (though they're not animate in my story), and makes up little songsbr-He also gets traumatized on his fifth birthday, because I can be evil when I writebr-Esmeralda doesn't have much more role in the plot than she did in the sequel, but she's still the catalyst for the plot She's just off teaching a dance class or corralling Zephyr for much of the storybr-Clopin is a WAY more important character than he was in ANY of the source material (he's my favorite, so I'm claiming author's privilege)br-Phoebus isn't an idiot His actions are motivated entirely by what Clopin tells him about Sarousch, not by situationally acquired racismbr-Clopin and Sarousch have a historybr-Sarousch is legitimately threatening and totally evil He also has a motive for his narcissismbr-Madellaine doesn't exist for the sole purpose of giving Quasi a girlfriend In fact, she and Quasi (spoiler alert) don't even get together in the end Though they do leave the option openbr-The only time I use the term "Gypsy" in the story is when either non-Roma are calling the Roma that, or Clopin is referencing a title he uses expressly for dealing with non-Roma authoritiesbr-Sarousch dies in the end and totally deserves itbrbrYou can find this story on Ao3 and FFN (yes, this is shameless self-promotion)

101 Dalmatians 2 was my favorite movies as a kid I would literally watch it every day, sometimes multiple times a day Yet every time I heard it mentioned it was in a negative context (mostly saying the fact it was straight-to-DVD signifies that it's crap) I started wondering if I was delusional and just blinded by nostalgia Really happy to see someone give it the respect it deserves
