People meet online, it's not a real meeting, but So true At Polyglot Gathering and Polyglot Conference I found partners for language exchange (or they found me) Our only common point was that each was trying to learn the other's language and was happy to get some practice This little common point was enough to develop new friendships, even if we only see each other's faces once a week But each of us can contribute to the other's happiness, just as true friends do

It's not so simple that a person is a Polyglot i think i can learn many languages but the mandarin of Chinese is impossible

I like HelloTalk Sure, most people are not professional or some might be flaky compared to other language learning Apps but it’s nice to connect with someone and build a relationship without monetary incentive It does require search and effort though Some people are their just for language learning, meeting people, or a mix
