I've been stacking 25 years I saw this video I was just wondering if you think you attention of preservation has gotten better through your journey of stacking I'm just seeing your handling of these silver dollars are in my opinion a bit unrefined Not trying to be too critical but you showed a proof quality coin and toss it into the pile without showing mint mark and no interest in classification like New Orleans should be a better coin than a D or P because that mint burned down and it wasn't located near a railway so they were carted to banks in surrounding areas and they were shoveled into creates banging alot up w/ the cart ride to banks O coins that survived that should be more sought after Basically I just hope you're classification has been improving since in the last 4 yrs

I just checked a Silver Dollar is 7734 troy oz ASW (actual silver weight) a silver dollar weighs 2673 grams X 9 equals 24057 g that is the amount of silver in a silver dollar 1 oz of silver weighs 31103 grams now divide the amount of grams in the Silver Dollar by the amount of grams in a silver ounce this gives you the percentage of silver in the ounce so 24057 divided by 31 103 equals 77346 so you even have more silver than you thought

I say any investor should work at acquiring 100oz of constitutional silver This should be in 10 $10 tubes of quarters and 8 $5 tubes of dimes This will give you 100oz in 1/4oz increments (400 quarters and 400 dimes)

that 0715 is cool, but there is an easyer way to figure out how much pure silver you have, if you have a scale and a calculator:: since its 90 silverbrput say all the coins you want to measure-sell on a scale and if you say have 100 gram coins, you have 90 gram silver + whatever the 10 is usually its copper hehe

why do 0715 when your holding morgans/peace? they contain 077toz of silver leaving 055 per silver dollar uncalculated for every 4 morgans you could lose almost a quarter oz of silver, 16 morgans and you've not calculated almost a whole oz of silver brI had this very same discussion with my LCS but didnt get anywhere specifically on morgans and peace's I was told that the wholesale dealers really set the price for them the specific example was, "why would I (as a shop owner) mess with the small profit by calculating every morgan or peace differently when I can add them to the sack for the wholesale dealer to by at their already set rate"

I love your video's! One thing I will share is that Junk silver is exactly that JUNK!! I was considering purchasing some recently but after much research came to that conclusion Sellers want close to spot price as possible and buyers want to pay about half for various reasons One being that if they need to purify the silver to make it 999 it takes time and moneythus reducing the real value of junk silver I would only buy junk silver if I got it at 40-50 of current spot Jmo keep on Stacking!!

Two addional points brbrbrOne is if you sell to someone online You Pay for shipping and alot of the weight is dead/worthless you are paying for brbrbrTwo- if you wait till prices have made a major jump up, the refners will be over capacity and your LCS or online buyer may not want your junk silver because they cannot get it to the refinery period Refiners capacity is for normal amounts of material When a surge of material comes in they cannot just add more smelters for a temporary upswing in productbrbrbrPoint one and two are some reasons you might wish to stack generic when you are done playing around with junk silver There is a reason the industry calls it junk silver but we seem to call it constitutional silver
