I would love a history of what has happened to the NAtive's in Canada IT seems very similar here as to the USA but here in southern Ontario the reservations cater to all the locals for fuel and Native made cigarettes and various other things including psilocybin mushrooms Cannabis and cannabis extracts In Alberta by Calgary, Local Canadians are not welcome on reservations and can seem very upset and hostile and won't respond to a friendly greeting in passing IT is different in Southern Ontario We don't have a culture of hating each other (I'm sure there is racism both ways, I can feel it from some people) I can tell that some NAtive families are wildly rich here in southern ontario Only the ones who own tobacco related property or businesses or fuel stations IT is a deeply interesting and unfortunate circumstance br From the looks of it, the British were better people to the natives but with us having residential schools and reservations in Canada it seems like once the USA were exterminating all the natives that Canada/the British turned their backs on the natives and did exactly what the USA was doing in the south Also Canada and USA borders never existed for them, so tribes like the Ojibwe were spread out over Canada and USA I do know that queen Elizabeth was the one who signed all the "Acts" to just take all Canada's territory one province at a time The Queen signed a paper saying "Yes, you can take that land for yourself" It is wildly unbelievable

The idea that Indian's special rights are not granted to them by the United States government is ludicrous You can say that those rights predate the United States or that the United States is trety bound to honor and enforce those rights but at the end of the day, native people are subjects of the United States and their rights flow from the United States If the treaties that give them those rights were ended, they wouldn't continue to have those rights while the people living on the land would have to leave Instead they would loose the protection of the US government and the land owners would run them off or kill them, as they did before the treaties and when treaties have been broken in the past
