It's taken me a while to get round to commenting, but here is what I think It's disgraceful behaviour on the part of Kingsisle It's not just the gold aspect but they were also an ingredient in a pet snack There were two estates that were good for Blackberry Jellyfish yields and I bought Aero Village and the Sky City Estates My purchase of both was partially based on the fish that were listed there To remove them after the fact is loathsome behaviour on the part of KI If something was broken, fix it by all means But don't tinker around with what was considered by the players as being part of the offer of sale Because it is a digital asset they wriggle round the breach of contract that this action would surely trigger in a physical productbrbrOnce again, KI shows utter contempt for their users Every time they do something like this is one more straw on the proverbial camel's back I'd prefer to stick with it and still enjoy the massive investment in time and money I've put into my Wizards, but this latest insult to the people that pay their wages feels to me like the 'next to last straw' It might even be the last one I hadn't logged in for nearly a month as it is, plus I'm already spending less time in this game and way more in others anyway Comment from : Richard Baylis

Why do I get the sinking feeling that Coach Potatoes will be hit next to reduce their chances of mega snacks? It seems KI is doing this to stop players from "freely" getting gold and mega snacks quickly, even though it still requires a lot of energy and time to do brbrPart of me thinks they are doing this to make the mega snack packs a more forced option, and this was one of the major sources of F2P mega snack grinding As I said, if that's the case, I expect us to see some kind of change to Coach Potatoes and Evil Magma Peas in the future If that happens, I'm thinking a lot of people will quit as it'll be an obviously greedy move that "fixed" something no one had a problem with and made a large number of people very happy Comment from : Zemroda

Absolutely hit the nail on the head You mentioned a key point that I failed to realize in my initial analysis of this, and that is that people want engaging ways to get these two very important resources rather than doing the same easy fightbrbrSure Halfang was technically more time efficient in getting gold and Couch Potatoes were more time efficient in getting Mega Snacks, but both require you to click one spell over and over again for hours on end over the course of playing the gamebrbrWe need more options, and thus far, all we have seen is Warlord's Wurst get taken away which was a way to get a lot of really good snacks (+25 snacks) through playing PvP, and now with this change, Blackberry Jellyfish effectively taken away which let us get both gold and snacks through fishing brbrWith a game that they themselves have admitted needs more options to get things like Spellements, and them also implementing a crafting option for getting the best gear if you don't just want to farm for the gear, the effect this change has had completely goes against their own intentionsbrbrSure it was to adjust unreasonably high drop rates for fish with Epic rarity that can be used to craft a Mega Snack (only Sky City Estate though, Aero Village was completely fine the way it was before IMO), but the important thing is we need more options to get Mega Snacks through actually playing the game Comment from : ferric
