Halfway through I realized my childhood guitar teacher taught this full scale to me as "the pentatonic blues scale" but explained literally NONE of the music theory, and never mentioned "btw there are 3 different pentatonic shapes in here and they work everywhere if you know what key you're in"brCome to think of it he never even taught me the "regular" pentatonic scale, I presume because it's a little harder to play for small hands with all the 1-4 stretches 😂brFuck man so many things make sense now lol thank you!

This is so simple, so obvious, and I've been doing some of it for years So how come I've never joined all the dots in my mind until seeing this? An excellent tutorial, because like so many others have said, you can play for decades without finding this out Just one slight niggle That B string seems to have some bad fret buzz?

Another good video Like most videos of this type though, you didn’t mention what chords you were playing over I realize it’s not a video on hitting target notes, but that’s exactly what you did I’d love to see the chords flashed on the screen as you’re playing the solo so those of us with some knowledge can connect the dots I’ll practice this pattern over a backing track Thanks for posting and sharing your knowledge
