This is why the US money that was circulating in Northern Africa in the 1930s and 1940s had a yellow seal instead of the standard red or green seal at the time The plan was that if the Nazis had overrun US positions and seized large sums of money the US Treasury could quickly declare the yellow seal notes obsolete and worthless We did the same in Hawaii but instead of a seal change they were simply overstamped with the word HAWAII

Money that was printed in the '50s the 70s and early 80s was not actually that difficult to counterfeit most people at 16 years old with access to equipment and basic knowledge of photo mechanical transfers aluminum presses where you burn aluminum negatives have access to Levi's 501s things like that could make currency and this is prevalent for most currencies that were around the world believe it or not by the mid 80s currencies became somewhat more advanced and the technology that is put into him is actually pretty difficult to replicate without the original equipment and quite often currencies change like every 5 to 10 years slightly but if you get a hold of 1950s 1970s print work of quite a few currencies it is still pretty easy to replicate those things that's why the US mint and many minutes and the world Bank they take in Old paper and incinerated because new forms of machinery takes the place of the old machinery and in order for the old dollar bills to be honored they simply take an old dollar bill shred it incinerate it and give you a newly manufactured dollar bill and they say that all old forms of currency are basically non-existent and they actually take some sort of record account of how much they brought in and how much they put out that's is the reason why they are supposed to have reserves and things like that to be accountable for serial numbers on bills and how many of the old serial numbers they've destroyed and how many of the new serial numbers they've created even if you have some sort of computer code to be aware of the new serial numbers it will eventually catch up to a modernization of counterfeiting equipment

While security features are nice bank-wise, if I go to my local store and give a convincing enough bill, they'll take it, they won't put it through the UV light or analyze the microprinting with a magnifying glassbrpretty much only the material, printing quality and magnetic ink thing are required
