We've been looking at the current state of things and the common sense projections and are already looking at just building up a dragons horde of funds, building a very simple house and raising nearly all of our own food and producing our own utilities in less risk adverse land, we figure the best way to make money in the Phils is to eliminate as much need for it as possible to begin with

Great video - thx for sharing It's a good feeling to have your wife back and hopefully all stays as such So much of the info you shared I fully agree with, why are so many foreigners blind? I know why! I see so many foreigners getting sucked into parting with their money into this and that business trying to help out the family which in the end are not profitable and just fails Oh lets try this - it's good They also end up getting more involved than just financially - seems simple but it's not (called a guilt type of feeling) - few hundred here and there - which eventually turns into 1000's in foreigner currency in no time - keeps adding up with no REAL PROFITS Just a endless bottom pit where ONLY others benefit - I recommend to slow down and watch your money Property in general has gotten stupid!!!!!!!!!! Something worth 100,000 php now they want millions - absolutely nuts In my view its the foreigners over the years whom have indirectly caused most of these cost being driven up over time I have seen this happen - Mexico - Costa Rica to just name a couple Most foreigners seemed to be fooled, blinded - prices there are most defiantly not cheap and only going upwards for everything Even rent has jumped - homes that were 20K PHP now wanting 25-30K for example plus extras on top Building materials if you can actually find when looking for specific items (now that's funny!!!) - I just shake my head at the cost and seeing the low quality Oh the joys! Unless you’re a Filipino or Fil-Am dual citizen you might get by The Philippines is not suited for foreign business unless your a multi million or a billion dollar corporation Even Starbucks is franchised and only one Filipino Chinese family runs it Also for industrial manufacturing these companies are not coming coz of unreliable electric power Some multi national corporation left and moved to Vietnam, Indonesia, Malaysia, India and Thailand Also red tape and corruption is rampant in local government Best expat is a retired person with reliable and sustainable income from pension or Social Security benefits Digital nomads will get by until no internet and power will ruin them
