N Jorgji
His possession of English is good, but his pronunciation is 6 in a scale of 1 to 10
Comment from : N Jorgji

N Jorgji
His statement about relationship between memory and logic is utterly wrong There’s no such a thing as logic without memory
Comment from : N Jorgji

Steve Virginia
I teach adults in high level professions I want to come across as a helper of professional adults rather than an old school master condescending to children

I love this! I’m a TEFL teacher and I know that the “conventional” method of teaching has failed a lot of students It doesn’t give them the opportunity to practice speaking the language and to build their confidence when it comes to sharing their ideas I use a similar method in my lessons as this professor — I welcome questions, mistakes, and discussion It’s the only way to grow
Comment from : Shay M

LostAndFound
I so agree I do not teach grammar because I find it an unnatural way to learn another language brFor me, INTUITION is the key word brJust as babies use intuition to figure out what their parents are saying, I encourage my students to develop this essential skill: intuitionbrNo translation, no grammar rules to remember Learn from pictures, movements, sounds, acquire a language brNever "study" itbrand I welcome mistakes as a natural part of the learning process brThrough mistakes, we learn

Tzu-Hui Sherry Yang
A really inspiring speech for a beginning English teacher like me who's looking to improve my ways of teaching for those who are serious about learning and growing Changing how students learn is definitely harder than teaching them the skills and knowledge itself but once they understand how to learn more effectively and how to apply it to anything they're hoping to learn about rather than focus on the knowledge itself, that changes the way they look at the world and knowledge It's beyond teaching a language
Comment from : Tzu-Hui Sherry Yang

Kats menagerie
I wish I had learned French this way! My college level vocabulary (reading especially) is okay, but I fall apart in causal conversation and I can't really get a feel for the personality of my conversation partner
