The goodyear eagle f1 asymmetric 6 is somewhat cheaper but outperforms the Michelin A very good alternative for those not wanting to pay that bit extra due to the hype

I bought a set last week for my 2003 Subaru bugeye wrx For context: bc br coilovers and 255/35-18 size I’m absolutely blown away by these tires I’ve gone through 3 different sets of semi slick dot approved race tires and the pilot 4s is the most responsive For reference I had the Toyo proxes r1r before and this tire feels better already I don’t think anything matches the rain performance of this tire It’s been dumping hail in Colorado daily for weeks now and I can still have fun in a downpour My old Subaru is so much happier on this tire vs a true streetable track tire

Ive had the Pilot Sport 4S tires,brI’ve had the Pirelli P-Zero And P-Zero CorsabrI’ve currently got the Continental Extreme Contact DWS 06brbrDriven them all on a 2001 M3, the DWS from Continental blows the others out of the water for grip when wet, and i’d even say they’re by far better in the dry toobrI could do burnout’s fairly easily in the Pilot Cup Sport 4, way too easily in both the P-Zeros, but the Continental DWS ones just fuckin stick giving you so much traction you just launchbrMy favorite street legal tire for racing and daily driving!
