I'm going to be totally honest herebr I love the 1 gram pieces Yes they are way overpriced, but I look at it as something separate from my other silver I started collecting the different designs, and only if the price is reasonable But it gave me a reasonable hobby that, even though at a poor ratio, does add to the value of my overall silver

Each face dollar of 90 "junk silver" is 0715 ounces not 1 ounce bro , doesn't matter if its 2 halves , 4 quarters or 10 mercury dimes , they all equal a total of 0715oz of silver which is all btw coins that do not have the metal type, purity or weight stamped onto each coin so if your bartering to feed your family and the farmer your trying to do business with has no idea of the specifics of junk silver and can't prove what your telling him because it's not stamped on the coin than he's not gona take junk silver as payment, which is strictly why I only buy coins and rounds with the metal type , weight and purity clearly stamped on one or both sides so there is zero confusion during any transactions in the future if I ever need this emergency currency fund im building to barter and trade with local farmers for to aquire food for me amd my family, so for me there's not even any sense spending the extra few bucks for a silver American eagle coin compared to a $31-32 ($6-9 average cheaper) genetic 1oz rounds as well as there are not really many silver fractional coins which are very valuable to me so I can pay for food and services with as close to the person's wanted price as possible opposed to only having 1 ounce rounds or coins when the farmer only wants say 2/3's an ounce silver for 5 pounds of vegetables and you end up losing out on that other 1/3 ounce because you don't have proper fractional rounds to pay close enough to the said price to where any change left over that can't be given back to you the buyer is insignificant enough to not worry about a small small loss

I'm just trying to start One thing that a bit of information is We call it northern money Money that never gets back to the banks because it's used over and over again It's getting harder to find but in a community that is isolated it rarely gets out Now with electronic banking there is getting less This would also be a good place to look for old coins
