| too went to this with the Girl Guides Group I belonged to we stayed in a Youth Hostel in Greystoke Place ? in Londo n for a week There was still so much bomb damage to be seen as wellI remember going into a Cafe brfrequesdted by the Press but something was quite nmagical when we looked down iuto the huge holes in the ground where the bombs had destroyed so many huge buildings in which was a mass of these deep pinkbrflowers growing in the many 100's and 1000's of them The firm my Father worked for had made the "largest shee of "plate Galss" ever made for which was so larege they had to have a special "lowe loader vehicle to deliver it to the exhibition The Skylon and my sister loved the fairfun one of them was named "the "Rotor" which I never went on it but my sister did, when it got up to speed the dloor fell away andyou where sucked on the walls of this hugh sort of huge "drum shape Comment from : Veronica Williams |
