Shouldn't you say the "crust" is rock, not rocks What people call rocks are generally stones, which are classified as boulders (large stones), stones (of particular size), and pebbles (small stones) I am aware that in the vernacular there is no difference, and everything is rocks However, in geology they are differentiated Stones are formed from rock as a result of mechanical or chemical weathering Comment from : @catfishmudflap |
