In a nutshell, for tax reasons, buy the most expensive house you can afford and are qualified to buy Tour the neighbood and surrounding areas Check out the local schools and conveniences Smaller cities tend to be more friendlier while still providing many amnenties Having moved from a mid-sized city in CA, we were looking for a similar area Super important to work with a real estate agent who lives and works in the areas you're interested in exploring We just bought our 4th new build home in Fate which still has lots of open spaces, well kept neighborhoods and connected to larger easy to access cities Comment from : Judy Stark |

The downtown freeway "mixmaster" of dallas, tx is an amazing & scary place to be driving in between 7am-7pm, monday-friday!! On the weekends, it's kinda chill!! The "mixmaster' freeway system consists of, at some point: I-45, US 75, I-30, I-35E & TX 366 And US 67, US 175, TX 183 & DALLAS NORTH TOLLWAY are close to the downtown dallas, tx "mixmaster" as well, contributing to the traffic delays!! Quite an amazing setup for a multiple freeways junction!! Comment from : David Joseph |
What about Oak Cliff Texas? I love it there ❤ Comment from : Kathy Young |

Expensive!? I guess you’ve never lived in Southern California? I’m paying $3200 a month for a one bedroom apartment in an old buildingthis isn’t a “luxury” apartment Is Dallas worse than that! A track home like most of us grew up in $13 Comment from : Lisa Austin |
Did AI write this for you? I think prices and driving times are off Comment from : Chilatelover |
Y’all need to stop tell people to move to Forney it’s too crowded here Comment from : Christopher Ajayi |
This is false and misleading It’s like saying why are so many people moving away from Manhattan when they’re just moving to Brooklyn or a different part of the city Why do we care if people are moving around the same city? What is news about that? Comment from : David Peganyee |
Ain't no body movin to Dallas! Go figure! Comment from : Alam Rafique |
California nuts and fruits moving in Comment from : Lori Duncan |
Health care is top notch Every medical specialty is represented here 'No state income tax' but annual property tax bill will be 5x what you now pay Home insurance costs are insane (climate change) Great airports Suburbs and small surrounding towns are what you would expect- and also have their share of problems It comes down to what you want out of your residence btw- the home pics you show are NOT north Texas Comment from : R Penmark |
Who is paying for this guy who tries to come across as an informed person to trash dallas, texas Comment from : Jack Barcroft |
This garbage should be removed immediately It comes across as an informed headline But it's not It's just marketing, and it's ugly And anybody that supports who's behind this video should be boycotted Comment from : Jack Barcroft |
This video is dumb AF If you have outgrown Dallas, one of these suburbs won't change your life much Natural beauty "Rockwall" literally the only thing that Rockwall has anymore for beauty is the tiny view of the lake thats still left Comment from : Andrew Jacobs |
I lived in Dallas area for many years and have family still there Home prices are substantially higher than this video indicated, especially in Flower Mound, Frisco, and Plano And property taxes are horrendous! Do your own research Comment from : Susan Stanley |

Dallas area was our home from 1977 - 2021 It was a great place to build our careers, raise kids and make great friends brSadly, today it’s become a massive concrete jungle with constant road construction and crazy traffic brRecently we moved to the Texas Hill Country and we love it! Comment from : Jenni Hubby |

Its funny as a Texan, we always hear about how DENTON is the new DALLAS, as so many people from there are moving to Denton, and yet it didnt even make your list Comment from : Darth Daddy |
I hope outsiders understand that living in DFW or N Texas is not for the faint at heart The summers are brutal, the winters can be very cold because of the humidity that goes right to the bones and the spring storms are down right scary I have lived all over the state of Texas since I was 2 years old The only place I have not lived is El Paso and I am blessed to not have to live there LOL My favorite area is the South Plains as I graduated from Texas Tech and love the arid weather and the people are soooo friendly Comment from : yesher12 |

The older I get the more I prefer my small cities/big towns with small healthy growth I love living an hour south of NWA where I do not got to deal with rapid growth, sky rocketing rent/housing prices, and constant road work Comment from : JD Redwine |
If you’re gonna move out into the sticks like this guy’s telling you t, you are going to be in your car for a very long time, so I hope you do work remotely You better keep your kids incredibly busy and involved because one of the few things to do in Dallas for kids when their parents aren’t watching is to drink and do drugs! It’s hot it’s really hot here in the summer and it seems like it’s getting hotter! So when you’re stuck in traffic in construction, you’re going to wish you lived close to your job Comment from : shushuwu |
I like your voice and jokes!! XoXo Nikki 💋 Comment from : Nikki Adams |
Good, git to stepping Comment from : Lolly Alexander |
None of the city images used on the video is not from the actual towns Since when Plano have mountains? 7:59 ? 😅 Comment from : Ederson Perin |
Unless you enjoy a high cost of living, traffic congestion, high property taxes, hordes of people everywhere, brutal heat in the summer, and tornadoes in the spring, don't move to DFW Comment from : horseman528 |

OP knows nothing about Dallas How do I know this? He keeps saying “the metro area” Comment from : Jimmy Grizz |
You do know, I hope, that 300,000 dollar houses are pretty unaffordable for a lot of folks when the average household income is around 50000 I think I'll wait for the housing bubble to pop and interest rates to come down Also for counties to stop inflating property values to collect more taxes Comment from : Soul PilgrimJourney |
Oh thank god, please go back where you came from Comment from : HowFarWillTheyGo |

I reside in Dallas, however I have lived in Allen, Mesquite, Plano, Frisco and Cedar Hill Came to TX in 95 and I plan to stay here, bottom line because the people are great🙂 And there are always opportunities for employment in the city and the suburbs Comment from : Megan Jean |
I’m surprised North Fort Worth/ Keller area wasn’t mentioned here, since the prices there are relatively cheaper than Plano/ Frisco/ Allen and are just as safe and have similar amenities Yes, it’s far from Dallas, but so is McKinney, Little Elm and other “nice “ communities north of Hwy 380 Comment from : ercsan s |
Lol all these travel times are for 2am sunday morning, the whole of i30 wb from almost greenville through to the bridge at rockwall is a big ol cluster from around 6am til after lunch, and eb over the bridge is bad from 2pm til around maybe 8pm Comment from : Dr Mobius |
b/c Californians started coming here…lol j/k but not rlybrbrTheres no reason for this city to be here, traditionally Its just a center of commerce Consequently theres no real culture here other than the indigenous and historical And while there is money here, money becomes the culture so all the sub-culture ends up isolated, patronized and sometimes exploited by those that have money brbrPolitically, once the monumental effort to turn Texas blue succeeds im sure ex-pat Californians will be kicking themselves in the a** for not moving to Florida instead Comment from : Q5echo |
It’s high everywhere the cost of living goes up but the wage stays the same and they want you to work your a off for the pennies Comment from : ZeroGravity |

Italy Texas is for milky way star gazers , especially in March, April, and May months Light pollution is not really a problem in Italy Tx but it has to be about 2 miles or more from the center of Italy Tx Seeing our milky way galaxy around 345 to 445am is an other worldly experience The most powerful thing to see is our home galaxy's billions of stars Comment from : Stix Gonzalez |
Terrell is where Dallas's loony bin is Comment from : Stix Gonzalez |

Born and raised in Dallas Crime and Traffic are absolutely horrendous influx of people we don’t need thinking it’s cheaper to live here causing an inflation in property values and rent and crime to rise Little story i left to go run an errand Friday at 5:30 to drive 19 miles outside of where i live it took me 3 HRS!!!!! To get there and this was 5 years ago Also it’s Hot like 100+ temperature hot stay away Comment from : Antonio Montana |

I’ve lived in Dallas for since 1957! I loved it there But now I don’t! It’s the worst place ever!! Comment from : Kathy Schilling |
I live in Texas and close to Dallas The reason it’s population is shrinking is the ridiculous liberalism that corrupts every big city And if you say your commute is too far, we’ll you ain’t Texan Lol😂 Comment from : Christian Apologetics |
People are NOT 😂 If anything it's getting more and more overcrowded People will leave eventually though since the Cali practices are starting to come alive Can't have that on $725 an hour And that's gonna spread to the outside MetroPlex Comment from : FortyTheRapper (DoubleYT) |

Why? Because it sucks We happily left Plano in '91 and couldn't have been happier to see DFW in the rear view mirror Comment from : Tony DAgostino |
I went to high school in Fort Worth 2 years in the city My senior year just outside the city limits Every time I go back for a visit even the small 2 stop light town I used to live in is now unrecognizable I won't even drive through the DFW Metroplex brWhere is Flower Mound in relation to Blue Mound & Saginaw? Comment from : toodlescae |
The primary reason people are leaving Dallas City and/or Dallas County is Satanic Left Wing Government and everything that goes with it Terrible schools, high crime rate, etc Comment from : Jerry Stephens |
