This Comment was made on October 24, 2019 brbrI had a 1964 Kennedy half dollar earlier this month made into a ring I did this to find out what it will feel like to wear a coin ring with the engraving present on the inside of the ring versus a "comfort ring" (my wedding band) This is in preparation to have a gold Krugerrand ring made up I've had the Kennedy half dollar ring for a few weeks and the "feel" isn't that noticeable I placed this ring in my coin bin where I keep my lose change and over a short period a patina formed This is good since the patina enhances the raised engraving Note: I had the tail side out so the "United States of America" was facing out versus the "Liberty" on the heads side The final size of the ring was a barrelled 8mm which would be the size I would have the Krgerrand made up Will be discussing with Skyler shortly

Gabe C I can't reply directly to your comment so I hope you see this The best way to solve your problem is to look into a press of some kind Harbor freight has some cheap arbor presses and even a 6 ton press like mine is about $60 which is probably more expensive Be sure to get at least a 15 ton in my opinion and use it with your dapping block Be sure to get a 20 off coupon online for harbor freight when you buy it Thanks for watching! Thank you for your videos they have helped me a lothave a small problem can seem to get the ring to flatten meaning the edges to be even have the dome effect any suggestiononly have the mandrel and the doming block
