I have just spent a frustrating week trying to link a US$ bank account (at a Canadian bank) to PayPal I want to have a US$ bank linked to PayPal because I have a friend in the US who has sent me some US$ funds I wanted to keep the funds in US$ but PayPal converted the money to C$ at a poor rate of exchange and charged me an extra a fee (This may be because I didn't have that US$ bank registered at PayPal) I have changed my PayPal name to match the name on my bank account but it still rejects the request to link this bank So I can't get access to my US$ Does anyone have a solution to, this dilemma?

I just tried it this week I opened a USD Savings with RBC and used the US routing number as described on the video to link it to my PayPal account, but PayPal said that the account was invalid, as the 2 deposits under $1 that they tried to make were declined any potential suggestions? I really wanted to make this work Thanks for the video!

Hi, I see this video is 11 years ago, are there any updates with transferring my USD money in my paypal account to other bank such as BMO? I have a BMO US checking account or is RBC still the only one to this day?

Hi Grumo I opened a BNC (National Bank account) in USD dollars I just transfered 10 USD from my Paypal account to do a test and Paypal says it is transferring 1310 CAD So my question is RBC the only bank that allow transferrings USD from Paypal to a bank savings account without taking a fee ?

Thanks for the tip!! I will do this when I get home Can one Paypal account be linked to 2 different bank accounts (one CAD one USD)? I want my USD in Paypal be paid out to my USD bank account to avoid the currency conversion

PayPal now provides Canadian Dollars my issue is the routing number required by PayPal is 9 digits while my routing number for my Canadian bank account is 8 digits

Working so far I checked other sites and had some bad reviews being RBC and Paypal blocked the loop hole, but its crazy cause your Routing number for RBC works fine for me Waiting for the 2 payments of confirmation from paypal! hope it works thanks
