The map was made bye a Polish immigrant from ww2 I believe it's in Peebles shire or vary close to it my grandfather is distantly related to the people who still own 2 or more castles in the shire who I think are British nobles My grandfather served in USA army aircore during WW2 and his last name is Peebles He shared quite a few stories with me about WW2 and the family relatives in Peebles shire as well as his few post WW2 trips there

I’d hate to see the UK carved apart and my instincts tell me we’d all be poorer for it, but if Scotland did have another referendum I do think there should be much more transparency about the economics of the debate First and foremost the currency, share of the national debt, setting of interest rates etc were largely glossed over in the last debate but are fundamental to the decision IbrI appreciate that the majority of Scots feel alienated from Westminster but can’t help but feel the SNP have no real desire to work with Westminster and purely wish to fan the flames of division The world currently feels a pretty unstable place and the likes of Putin would love to see the UK divided I spent years in HMF side by side with colleagues from the whole of the UK and although we had our national identities fundamentally we were all one and the same I personally feel we all need to stick together rather than go our separate ways

I live in London and go to university in Scotland For what it's worth I also have Scottish and Irish grandparents brbrAs much as I don't want Scotland to leave the UK, they have every right to I think in the long term, a large federal nation, when set up in an equal way, has a lot more to offer than lots of small independent states, but the UK doesn't have that Power and wealth has been concentrated more and more in London and a few other cities in England, and has caused people in other parts of the UK, especially in more rural areas, to migrate to the cities, which has created even more political and economic inequality Without some major changes to the UK and a government that prioritises the regions over the cities, Scotland will better off outside the UK brbrIf people want to see a more prosperous country in future, the most important thing to do is vote Too many people in this country feel disillusioned with politics and don't see the point in participating, but that makes it worse The smaller the proportion that politicians are representing, the worse that representation is, and the more disillusioned people feel Vote in every election and get involved Vote for people that will pass the policies you want to see Otherwise the political rot that we currently see will only get worse

Scots are more than one people There are Highland Scots (which spoke Gaelic-- I don't know how many of these people there still are) There are Lowland Scots (from her speech I am guessing Sophie is a Lowland Scot who is working in the Highlands) who speak a language closely related to English (People may call it Scots English,but if Scots want to develop a stronger national identity and claim it to be a separate language) There are immigrants from England and all around the world It is really a polity re-developing the national Scottish identity

Superb documentary to show the beauty of Scotland A bit too short as they should have featured other cities- Perth, Stirling, St Andrew's, Edinburgh, Dundee, Aberdeen What was not mentioned was that the Royals have very strong ties to Scotland so they are not going to give up Scotland easily
