NOTE: This is a question that has come up a few times, so I just want to ensure it's especially clear: as stated in the video, a player CANNOT build houses on a property unless they own ALL of the properties of that color set This means that if you own one red property and another player owns the other two, neither of you can build on red properties You will have to wait until that player goes bankrupt and hopefully acquire their properties, OR you can trade with them (explained in the video)

Thank the lord I found a video like yours I felt so humbled to have you explain the entire game, as you're correct, most of my life we "winged" some of the rules not actually knowing the full detail of how to play brMy son is soon turning eight and has been getting me to play Monopoly everyday for a good two hours! played Monopoly with my sister and found out we were actually doing some of the actions wrong: like not moving our pieces whenever we rolled double😅 we just kept on rolling until it wasn’t doubled; and also buying houses whenever we feel like it even tho we don’t have the color set yet Thanks so much for this video! Hey, this is a great explanation video for this game butI didnt understand one part in it at 13:45 Yoy have three hotels and if you sell them you get half of their value and houses from bank But what is the bank doesnt have enough houses? For example bank has three houses and gives them to you, what about the rest 9 houses that bank doesnt have and you paid for them earlier?

Asking a stuipd question that wasn't answered here A player has completed a new monopoly There are no houses left, but there are hotels in supply Is it legal by the offical rules to build straight to hotels anyway or is the player unable to build? We have always assumed the former

I would suggest strongly that you relegate a player to do all of the banking, and even better to do all of the other duties unrelated to handling monies It's too distracting for one player to do both, and even skilled players see a decreased chance in their chances of winningbrbrAnother suggestion is to use casino chips or an educational money packet that you'd teach someone how to count money The stock is better and you can get it for a very reasonable price You can use the $50000 notes from the gamebrbrI have standard sets of clay-composite casino chips which are denominated and colored appropriately in $1, $5, $10, $25, $50, $100, and $500 I was the designated banker in a game which used real money and actual $500 chips Let's just say it was fun, especially seeing people become nervous and unsure who aren't use to seeing a lot of cash splashing around
