I resent this personally, since one of my favorite coin collecting pursuits since I was a kid has been pawing through those mixed loose coin bins most shops have That requires a certain level of trust that I have NEVER betrayed in well over half a century, and it bugs me that this armpit's rash larceny might only serve to endanger the trust that makes my beloved "foraging" possible

I think it's horrible I cherish the relationship I have with my LCS We are not best friends but the relationship I have built with them has built trust and I could not even imagine stealing from them It just goes to show that people like that scum in the video can ruin the positive relationships we have with the brick and mortar shops I love the instant gratification of purchasing my product and walking out with it I just hope the thief pays from his cherished collection their debt to society

Man the thief is idiot, Now the idiot is going to jail for coin If I was coin dealer or jewelry dealer i would do appointment only and ID first and if an individual went high end jewelry or coins I would ask for bank letter of credit Please don't waste my time and your time This way you know the individual is going to be real Because a fake or thief is not going to take the time for all that

My lcs has a second set of keys that I keep, only use them when he asks me toif anything goes missing I'm the first to say to look at the video, I've been in the shop with just his dog and been there alone when the dog needs a walkI have thousands of dollars of coins consigned with him but I always keep my hands in my pockets wh3n leaning over the counter unless using the loop, it's respect and it's hard to earn and quick to lose

I have run pawn shops for over 12 years You can only imagine the things and people I have met and had to deal with Close cabinets, put away displays, and be vigilant because if you give people the chance you will get burned a lot of the time Keep stacking and let's go fishing sometime

Anytime my LCS leaves me with coins to go help another customerI back away from the counter immediately Even if they misplaced/miscounted, etc I was nowhere near the counter so I don't get blamed for anything

I go into my lcs and some times I’m left alone with binders full of coins I’m going through There has been a few times I was left alone by myself when they left to grab food next door and come right back I know I’m on camera I don’t dare do anything to jeopardize my relationship with them

Thanks for posting this video It is a disgrace to see someone in the coin collecting/stacking community do this sort of thing, and I hope this man is appropriately punished for his actions I have been pleasantly surprised over the years just how honest and trusting many coin dealers can be Coin dealers have a business to run, and they can't just stand there watching everyone like a hawk every single moment I have been briefly left alone to look over coins in different shops on multiple occasions Once at a show, I was taking my time looking over a large bin of junk silver picking out about a hundred Mercury dimes that I intended to purchase The dealer asked me to watch his table for a few minutes while he took a quick break to use the restroom and get a drink He explained that he usually would get another dealer to help him out on such occasions but that since I was going to be there awhile, would I mind helping him out so he didn't have to shut everything down Even though he had a fair amount of other valuable coinage not just the junk silver, I was honored that he trusted me with his inventory Way back when I was a young kid, I fell prey to the temptation to snitch a few little things, as most of us do at one point or another However, this was another thing entirely It never even seriously occurred to me to try to steal anything from this dealer, or any of the other dealers I have done business with

It IS sad, that people can do that and flip in the turn of a moment If they are trying to make money, they would probably do much better in the long run being an honest person Now that guy can never go back to that shop, and worse could be arrested if he walks into a shop that is familiar with him If this hobby means anything to him, what is the value in that? Even if he makes money from the hobby, it will end up crushing him in the end

This was an outrageous act on the person that is the customer This is why coin dealers have no trust, and to be honest, I don't blame them That guy should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law that is allowed What a pea brain he is On the other hand, I have been cheated by a coin shop owner and when I found out he had no idea what to say except " it is not a fake " Well, I purchase from Daniel at Coin help U and I purchase from the United States Mint and also from JM Bullion That is it Never will I go to my LCS again ( oh by the way, I did receive my 170000 dollars back from the LCS, and he lost a very good customer in me)

She looked innocent and it looked like the same amount of scraps was there Forty-five minutes later she throws up on me and floor the scraps she stole You can't even trust you own dog!
