btc is old and rigged in the cryptospace For one, china holds 51 of the hashpower br2 it is highly price reliant on central trade/exchanged sites br3 majority of btc is held by a couple thousand addresses, of which 1 person can own multiple addresses br4 the dev community has been split for years and forking into more useless yet better cryptos like bth br5 its utterly slow on confirmations compared to others even with segregated witness br6 miner fees are still outrageous at high traffic br7 its algorithm is unnecessarily power hungry and is an outdated technology compared to others waste of energybr8 it is traceable br9 satashi's vision for btc has been changed and corrupted, it lost its purpose long ago store of value? are f-ing me?br10 its ownership of nothing but digits on a screen that one speculates someone will buy it from them at a higher price br11 btc market share is only due to being first, being well known, and also, purchasing other cryptos requires transacting through btc or sometimes eth most of the time hardly if ever transacting directly from usd getting rid of usd was the whole reason for btcbr12 it is highly linked to tether causing false trade volumes br13 it would never be stable as a world reserve for these reasons and more

BTC is economically harder (100 unresponsive to demand) and doesn't have any of the same frictions to settle Obviously BTC should be the new ledger and we'll have to use LN or something for every day txs equivalent to centralised settlement that we use to day The centralised administrators won't go away with BTC, but they will be our subjects rather than our masters because we hold and control our own savings, even if not our spending money in our wallets for day to day usebrbrGold is a silly idea for many reasons, not least the expense and awkwardness of transport, storage, security, the likelihood of debasement through mining, science, deep sea exploration, asteroid mining etc Gold does not have known inflation level as it depends on what we find BTC is fixed I see no rational argument for gold apart from 'it's older' Which ain't gonna cut it imo
