All my life I have helped my family financially despite them not reciprocating My adult children are coming regularly now I am retired and all of them are working The final straw for me is when my youngest daughter rented a house 2 months before her lease was up I co-signed so I had to pay My oldest son who is a truck driver owes me over $2,000 and refuses to speak to me now I am hurt and angry I will never loan again

They don 't want to answer your questions because they are deadbeats They know what has brought them to where they are, and only a change in behavior will solve their problem People don't like change So they continue the same behavior At some point years later they come to their senses and realize their life has been wasted and they need to make a correction It's usually too late and they live out their life in poverty Such people die and their family can't afford funeral expenses This is 2022 and times are difficult Very few people have money to lend to someone who isn't going to repay them Everyone's life is their personal business Once someone lets you have money they are in your business because money is business It is what it is

I was young when I when I started earning money, it wasn't much, but I was making something What sucks is that my mom would pressure me into giving up almost all of it, even clearing my meager savings to satiate her needs It was when I lost my job that I realized I hadn't gotten anything for myself from my own money Anyways I'm back to working and it's hard to deal with the pressure of her demand but I'm proud to say I've not given in and I'm learning to be selfish to a healthy extent

My husband co signed for my mother in law because he felt sorry for her and you know most people wants to help parents But, just in case I put her car payment on my card that way in case she was late on payment my husband credit is protected Well, today is March 03, 2022 and so far no payment received yet No first, no second, nooo third is the fourth time late And she want us to help her to get a house, sorry but not happening she lost all credibility with us and all favors are over Is her son credit, obviously she doesnt care

I am a college student who works part time in an insurance company and lives in an apartment Sadly I spent well over a thousand dollars to cover my mother expenses in two months I work hard and my mother had a hard life raising my siblings but I feel manipulate and gaslighted I'm only 21 and my mother start praising me once I got that job I deeply don't want to get cussed out and leave crying, but I have to stop her whether she will get pissed off about it or not I rarely spend my money and save majority of it because I don't know when she will ask me for the next 200 or 300 I pray I have the strength to set a boundary on that so I won't suffer like that again

I also so another brother post a video that said you should not loan money, but if you can, make the person work for it Since you know 9 times out of 10 you won't be getting it back, make an exchange instead Work on my car, cut my grass, wash my clothes, look after my kids Find something for them to do so they can earn it What do you think about that approach?

My family uses me for money ( I get the money from like a school which will find me a job or school because I'm clueless) I never wanted to go there in the first place but I had to I had no other choice They forced me not only my parents but my entire family but my sister supported me and wanted me to do what I wanted I told them that I don't wanna go there anymore becuase to be honest my experience with school is not good (Not grades but the people around me) I have anxiety and an introvert which makes it worse because everytime I go outside so I just start to feel sick and want to stay at home for a while They want me to go there so i can earn money for them I know this because everytime I open this topic they start to talk how "I" need this money for my future I'm so sick of my family for using me with knowing about my past I only have my sister and It's enough but I want them to understand me now

I asked my big brother for 200 to help pay for my car insurance and phone bill for one month He told me he didnt have money I didnt believe him, but after confronting him in person I believe he really didnt have money because he financed a new car and he told me he was two months behind electricity payment He had no proof but his face seemed to be telling the truth I really would have paid him back two times over for helping me That's 200 interest So not all cases are family just sucking you dry I was going to find a job but our mom was sent to he hospital and my brother fired her care provider so I became her care provider again from her request and his too I wouldn't have needed 200 help but I did in this case because my mom and brother wanted me to stop job hunting to take care of mom But the difference between me and a leech is that I explained EXACTLY what I need that 200 for I was willing to do anything But my brother still said no so I cant say anything bad about him because he said he had to pay bills too Like I said I thought he was lying We have history of him telling lies I just didnt want to have bad credit
