En ese órgano seguro que se respira paz,Daniel parece buena persona y no es como en España que no dejan que los alumnos superen a los profesores y superiores Comment from : Fernando Caro aceituno |

I cannot see the point of positioning the microphone so close to the keyboard we’re subjected to the rattle and clunk of the key mechanismbrIt subtracts rather than adds to the musical experience Comment from : Dissily Mordentroge |
Registrants can be of the highest importance to the performer Wow on all of you in action with Liszt Chromatic showoff Loved it Thanks again Comment from : Charles Davis |
Shows the musicianship and humility of Daniel Roth that he's willing to be registrant and page turner for another virtuoso What a guy he is! Comment from : Ian McKinnon |

One composer, and it takes four people to perform thisnot to demean them, but Liszt was a genius! Comment from : iamrepete |
Every recording from St Suilpice is so fun ’cause them show all the things what’s happening behind the console Like in 8:06 Roth: ”When?” Kiviniemi: ”NOW!” Comment from : Jaakko Tyni |
Marvelous to hear this tremendous adventure Bravo to the console crew Comment from : Next to the Gods YouTube |
This guy has amazing ability on the organ and he must rehearse very and over again, and I would love to hear him live What ever organ he plays he is the master of it and shows his ability to play change registrations without needing a second pair of hands,in other words the master of his instrument, and hope to see much more Keith mansell Comment from : Keith Mansell |

C'était le jour du permis poids lourds? Mais ça ne fait absolument aucun effet?! Boh Comment from : Lejeff Barker |
I loved everything about this The Barker lever sounds are what the organist hears, and they remind the listener nearby that it is a tracker organ I loved watching Roth's expressions and comments and registrant collaboration, and I enjoyed watching Pétur singing along Yes, Kiviniemi's transcription isn't much like the piano original, but it's not supposed to be He is a wonderful organist Comment from : Douglas Jensen |
IHANAA!!! Comment from : MrKeys57 |
ummmm ff-ff-uumfff, uuummm-ff-uuuummfffff but still awesome performance! Comment from : jcurwen |
It's a NICE transcription and player EXTREMELY well (I could used a bit more rubato in spots) I still prefer it on the piano all that being said it was FUN to watch! Comment from : Highinsight7 |
magnifique interpretation cet orgue sonne merveilleusement pour la musique de Liszt cette pièce est une des plus émouvantes à mon goût SUPERBE! Comment from : arnaud arnorganic |
Kalevi Kiviniemi plays with FIRE!!!!!! POWERFUL!!!! He takes your breath away watching him!!!!! Comment from : Chesterbarnes1 |
But why is this arrangement so over-simplified? Where are the sweeping scales and whooshing arpeggios? It appears he's more after simulating the effect of the original without the detail, but it's those details are what make the piece what it is Comment from : sorabji1 |
Well, that was exceedingly entertaining on so many levels It takes a village Comment from : Lawrence Kuipers |
+ Jhr Humphrey: Bijzonder Comment from : Mary Leermakers |
L'orgue est entretenu par la CGT pour être en si mauvais état ? Comment from : Christophe D |
Holy shit!!! Comment from : Fernando Camacho |
Fantastic cooperation :) Comment from : Gabor M |
"It's like driving a truck", as Cochereau used to say about the Vierne console in Notre-Dame Cathedral ! Comment from : 1401JSC |
For those commenting on the noisy action of the organ, please keep in mind that the console is a great distance from the listeners on the main floor In the loud sections, they couldn't hear the noisy barker machine, and in the quiet sections, usually there is far less coupling, making the barker much quieter Same for the talking Almost certainly inaudible on the main floor Comment from : Charles Layton |
For those not familiar with organs--what I mean was the action was noisy --hear that knock knock Never heard this one of the great organs before Comment from : william skylark |
DID NOT EXPECT TO SEE TWO OF THE GREATEST LIVING ORGANISTS TODAY ON THE SAME BENCH---KALEVI AND ROTH BUT this recording as I have heard it does not stand up to what I have heard before from this Organ---which sounds as if it needs some repairs---noisy which is normal for most French Organs but not this one Comment from : william skylark |
06:27 : "Yamm!!" Absolutely wonderful! Thanks for sharing these wonderful moments with us! Comment from : Burkhard Terhart |
Wonderful! Two great luminaries of the organ! Comment from : Colin Gantiglew |
what I really like is the intense concentration and the energetic playstyle of Mr Kiviniemi :) Comment from : MsSinyria |
Wonderful! Thank you :) Comment from : Alan Cordwell |
Best proof of someone "getting" the music: Singing along while playing or listening Look at Petur around 5:30 :) Comment from : Piotr Porada |
