I had the same experience in Belgium the courses took 9 weeks and they were all intensive,ı stayed with native speaker,thanks to that I passed an advanced level test here in Turkey and I can communicate with people in French,I only knew the basics I had inished A1,it is alays great to learn the language in the country with intensive courses,totally worth the money ,great experience
