"To organize life around one main purpose which is to get more hours per day to read " is my primary takeaway from this episode This purpose can be realized only if you are curious and build the endurance to pursue that curiosity Don't look for validation, or endorsement by pursuing mundane goals that constitute the markers of success Go for something beyond- great Advice by Ajay ShahbrbrThis Episode is simply fascinating Comment from : Mamunuru Shankar |
Hi I used goal tracker with some success for three to 4 months Used Marshall goldsmiths approach of writing down key things that matter to me deeply and do that only and end of day give a score of 1/0 achieved or not even thought of paying my daughter to review EOD goal as goldsmith suggested and he paays someone to look in Worked brilliantly for me for some timebut lost it along the way Comment from : le2801 |

Yes for Unix demonstration I want to see what is possible Growing up with the UI has made me lazy I have used a bit of Linux in college I understand that the command line way is better and there is immense support of the open source community, but the barrier to switch feels taller than i can jump today (everyday) Comment from : Ashutosh Shukla |
Good episode Enjoyed very much Comment from : Kirtimani Sharma Ghimire |

I am so glad that Amit and were gracious enough to show their notes I would like to just mention that people who would like to use Roamresearch-like app and want it to be free, plus want to own the notes, the good option is LOGSEQ It has same interface as Roamresearch and has multiple plugins One thing it has that none of other apps have is ability to anonate PDFs inside the app and extract them into a separate note file with link to the place in the PDF from where the highlights were taken Comment from : Suyog Doshi |
Don't know if it were our school teachers or just the lazy us in the childhood, but things like Unix and others were something that most didn't grasp at the time But now, looking at the sparkle in Ajay's eyes while speaking of these things, I really think you should make an episode where Ajay takes us on the whole journey of explaining these things to lay people like us brbrAnd Amit, what to speak of you, man! All this is possible 'coz of you; The man! Comment from : Rushabh Sagara |

Two points on the section when Ajay talks about emacs: first, vim over emacs! (I’m joking of course, both are great tools) and two, I feel for non-programmers tools like emacs or vim may not make sense for regular use brbrFor programmers, who are already familiar with and use terminals and command lines regularly, emacs or vim can be a way of knowledge management without leaving the terminal But most people wouldn’t use these tools regularly, so it may be easier for them to work with Notion or Roam Research or Obsidian Comment from : Jitin Nair |
